Folding
CNC folding, also known as computer numerical control folding, is a manufacturing process used to bend and shape sheet metal or other materials using CNC technology. CNC folding machines, also called press brakes, are automated machines that use computer-controlled precision to bend and manipulate sheets of material into various shapes and angles.
CNC folding offers several advantages in manufacturing:
Precision
CNC folding machines can achieve high levels of precision and repeatability, ensuring consistent and accurate bends.
Complex Shapes
The CNC programming allows for the creation of intricate and complex bend patterns that might be challenging to achieve manually.
Efficiency
CNC folding reduces the need for manual labor and speeds up the production process, increasing efficiency.
Reduced Waste
Accurate bending minimises material waste by achieving the desired shape with fewer errors.
Flexibility
CNC folding machines can be reprogrammed for different bending tasks, making them versatile for various production needs.
